Terms of Service

1. What Longview is — and is not

Longview is educational retirement-planning software. It lets you model scenarios, run simulations, and explore estimates based on the information you enter and general assumptions you control.

Longview is not individualized financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and is not a substitute for any of them. Longview is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, tax preparer, or law firm, and no output of the service — scores, signals, projections, comparisons, or anything else — is a recommendation to take or refrain from any action. Outputs are estimates built on simplified models and assumptions that will differ from your actual results. Confirm any significant decision with a qualified professional who knows your full situation.

2. Your account

You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 to use Longview.

3. Subscription, trial, and billing

  • New accounts include a free trial (currently 14 days). No payment method is required during the trial.
  • After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription billed monthly in advance through Stripe.
  • You can cancel any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. See the Refunds & Cancellation policy for details.
  • If a payment fails, we allow a short grace period before access is paused. Access resumes when payment succeeds.
  • Prices may change; we will give existing subscribers advance notice by email before a change affects them.

4. Your data

You retain ownership of the plan information you enter. We use it only to operate the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account and data by contacting us.

5. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service, and don't resell or redistribute it without permission.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for decisions you make based on the service's outputs.

7. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the app, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
